The report comes after a particularly tumultuous Shabbos for residents of Israel, with the opening of the fourth day of Operation Amud Anan, when a few minutes after Shabbos came in, a siren was sounded throughout Jerusalem and the surroundings. The rocket fell in an open area in Gush Etzion. There were no casualties or damage.

Throughout Shabbos there was massive fire at Israel's southern communities. A direct hit was in recorded in a house in Ashdod. Since midnight on Friday night, about 57 rockets exploded in open areas, and 25 rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. Since the beginning of Shabbos, about 110 rockets were fired at Israel.
