Operation Amud Anan: Hgr"o Yosef came out in a special call last night to Rabbnomi and Gabaim of synagogues to add to the Shabbos Tefilla a prayer for the success of IDF soldiers and strengthening of residents in the south.
Hgr"o called to add during this coming Shabbos on Shacharis, after the opening of the ark and the Torah service, the recitation of Chapter 83 in Tehillim. Hgr"o also called to say the chapter over next week in prayer every day after the 'Song of the Day'. Likewise, he called to say after Shachris 'Avinu Malkeinu', which includes supplications for the recovery of the ill in Am Yisrael, raising the honor of Israel, and revenge of the blood of victims.
Chapter 83 in Tehillim contains a prayer for the success of Israel against its enemies who want to exterminate us. Among other things it says: "Do not be quiet or peaceful, Hashem. For Your enemies are bustling and those who hate You have raised their head. They bear a secret on your nation, and take advice against your hidden ones. They have said - let us go and exterminate them from the nations, and the name of Israel will not be remembered again", and there's a prayer for victory over our enemies: "Like a fire burning in a forest, and like a flame heating up mountains. So will You pursue them with Your storm, and with Your whirlwind You shall startle them "
Yesterday Har"s Amar went up to Hagr"o's house, to discuss the security escalation and a proposal to undertake a special prayer at the Western Wall. It was decided that the prayer will be held on Sunday, at 16:00, during which -besides Mincha and Ma'ariv - Slichos will be said as well.
The Chief Rabbis will be in attendance as well as rabbis from all circles.
