'Eda' on Amud Anan: "Do not rely on arm of flesh"
Three days after the start of the operation: the Eda Hareidis in a call to increase davening on account of the security situation in Eretz Hakodesh. "The sighing of wounded and cries of those exiled from their homes and land has reached us"

Three days after Amud Anan military operation started, the Eda Hareidis, headed by the Gab"d Hagry"t Weiss, comes out in a call to the public to increase prayers because of the security situation which prevails in Eretz Yisroel.
"One alerts even on Shabbos," the call starts in the name of the Gab"d and members of the Badatz. "On account of the harsh situation which prevails in the Holy Land over the last days, the sigh of wounded and cries of those exiled from their homes and lands has reaches us, 'outside the sword kills and indoors terror and fear'".
"This is not the time to keep quiet, but to increase Tefilla and to evoke many mercies of Heaven, and to strengthen those things which need strengthening and amending, in Tshuva and Ma'asim Tovim".
The call has hints at the IDF which has been operating over the last few days in the Gaza strip: "To place our trust in Hashem Yisboroch and not to rely on an arm of flesh which will not help".
At the end of the call, it was written that each person should evoke the mercy of Heaven and say chapters of Tehillim between Kabalas Shabbos and Ma'ariv, and afterwards to say the tefilla of Acheinu Kol Beis Yisroel. "To increase Tefilla and supplications... until the rage will pass".
