Attacked clothing store owner with clubs – year sentence in prison

The District Court in Tel - Aviv sentenced today (Sunday) a year in prison on two brothers, in their 40s, who confessed and were convicted in a plea bargain to charges of assault for theft and injury under aggravated circumstances after attacking a clothing store in Bnei - Brak using clubs, because he refused to replace a pair of pants he bought in his shop.
They attacked the store owner of Midot Tovot in Bnei Brak.
The customer arrived at the shop, and asked to exchange jeans trousers which he bought about a month and a half earlier. The store owner refused the request, since a very long time had passed since the purchase, and it had also been fixed. The buyer was outraged, took without permission new denim pants and left the store. The store owner chased after the defendant was able to overtake him and take the new trousers from him.
In response the buyer started hitting the store owner in the face and stomach. He tried to defend himself and passersby came to his rescue. The buyer escaped and hit a vehicle parked nearby.
Close to this event, the buyer arrived with his two brothers to 'close account' with the owner. In the afternoon they arrived with wooden clubs, entered the store, removed the customers and employees who were there, and went to the office of the owner while beating him and another man who was with him. During the attack, one of the brothers took the identity card of the owner of the store and stole 1200 shekels from it.
As mentioned, two of them were sentenced to a year in prison.
