Is Israel about to attack deeply into Gaza, and implement a ground operation to Gaza?
This morning (Sunday), at the opening of the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified the scheduled moves for the continuation of the fighting.
"The IDF attacked more than a thousand terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip, and continues to do so as I speak. They have caused significant damage to weapons aimed at the citizens of Israel, their operators and dispatchers. We are taking a toll on Hamas and terrorist organizations, and the army is prepared to significantly expand the operation."
"Today I will continue to talk with world leaders, I appreciate the understanding they show for the right of Israel to defend itself. During conversations with leaders I emphasized the effort that Israel is doing to avoid harming civilians, at a time when Hamas and other terrorist organizations are making every effort to hit civilian targets in Israel. We are a responsible government, and a responsible government is committed above all to its citizens, and we act according to this commitment."
"This weekend I spoke again with President Barack Obama. I thanked him for his support of Israel's right to defend itself, as well as his and the American peoples contribution and the development of the Iron Dome. I return and praise the restraint, determination and resilience of Israeli citizens on the home front, and I again ask all of you to listen to instructions of the Home Front Command carefully, it saves lives."
At his conclusion, Bibi released a suggestion regarding the following: "Gaza operation continues and we are expanding it. I appreciate the fastest and most impressive mobilization of reservists from all over the country. They came from all parts of the country and lined up for the task. Reservists and regular are ready for every order they receive."
This evening the Prime Minister continued and held a special meeting with the Higher Emergency Committee (Emergency) and Front Protection Minister Avi Dichter.
The meeting discussed the influence of the security situation on the economy and immediate solutions and thanked the home command for its efforts.
Chairman of the Committee, the Minister of the Home Front Command, Avi Dichter said that Israel has invested billions to prepare the HMC especially for these difficult times."
