At the entrance to the Shalem police station Sultan Suleiman street in east Jerusalem, a female terrorist stabbed a border guard at the entrance. Border Policemen took over.
The fighter who was stabbed in the chest was treated by medics of Ichud Hatzala. His condition is defined as light, and he was taken to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital.
The stabber, a resident of East Jerusalem, about 35, was arrested for questioning. After the stabbing, youngsters gathered around the Shalem station. They were called to disperse, refused - and were scattered by reasonable force. Three young Arabs were detained for questioning.
Border Police commander, Major General Amos Yaakov, updated details of the stabbing incident, and praised the activities of the fighters: "Alertness and quick response and accurate operations of the fighters prevented the worsening of the event."
