With the end of the battles in the south, Manufacturers Association reports an estimated damage of 200 million shekels for factories in the south. This is a loss of products, a sharp decline in production and non-compliance liability to customers in Israel and abroad.

But not only manufacturing factories were damaged as a result of 'Pillar of Defense', which visited the Gaza Strip, even small businesses from all areas suffered significant damage, and the Tax Authority has promised to come towards business owners.

There will be those that will recover in a short period of time. But there will be those whose economic situation was difficult even before the campaign, and they may crash as a result. Those will not be helped by the tax authority's consideration.

Attorney Zvi Wishengrad, specializing in helping debtors, offers business owners and enterprises in difficulties, to manage the crisis correctly, in order to get out of it. Wishengrad poses some rules of thumb which are very important to conduct in such situations.

"First and foremost do not run away! Do not run from creditors. Speak to them and tell them what you are doing in order to get out of the situation. Ask for an extension. Majority of cases would be granted," says Wishengrad. "Whoever has been caught in a state of bouncing checks following the fighting and the Home Front Command, can get out of it following the instructions as given to the banks by the Bank of Israel. Even those who exceeded the credit limit during these days will win the ear of the bank manager. It is important to talk and not filter creditor's calls."
Either way, even those who entered into a tailspin of debt following the war, can make it out with proper conduct.

Research Department of the Manufacturers Association of analyzing the implications of the war states that the percentage of employees who worked in factories throughout the duration of the operation, is about 75% on average.

Wishengrad also says that in some cases employees will be entitled to remuneration in respect of absence days, "in any case it is important to get professional advice," he says.
