A 16 year old yeshiva student was injured on Motzei Shabbos, in a car accident in Kiryat Yoel in Monroe; when a passing car hit him and caused him sever injuries.

The accident took place at 8:00 pm on the corner of Sassov Road, when a passing car was speeding, did not notice the boy crossing the road, hit him with full force-and sent him flying.

The boy lost consciousness. Rescue forces who arrived at the scene found him without pulse and not breathing.

For several minutes they attempted CPR, and in the meantime due to his critical situation a helicopter was ordered who evacuated the boy to the Westchester hospital.

A Hatzalah paramedic who arrived first at the scene said that the boy was saved due to the quick response by Hatzalah. "We were summoned by passerby's", he said. "We arrived within a minute to the scene, we saw the boy has no pulse and we attempted CPR and we saved his life."
