Rabbi Dichovsky: we can appoint women to the committee for the appointing of Dayanim

Director of the Rabbinical courts, Rabbi Shlomo Dichovsky, said he will not go against the appointing of women to the committee to appoint Dayanim.
In an interview to the Moreshet network by Kol Yisrael, Rabbi Dichovsky stated, that since March last year new Dayanim have not been appointed. "The courts are about to collapse", he said. "If new Dayanim are not appointed we will have to close the Beis Dins".
He said he is not against appointing women to the committee to appoint Dayanim, and as far as he is concerned the majority of the committee can be women.
However he said that until the committee composition is changed, the appointing of new Dayanim should not be delayed.
On Monday the Supreme Court discussed the petitions demanding the appointing of women to the committee for appointing Dayanim, and the judges stated that women should be integrated in the committee. Justice Minister, Yaakov Neeman stated that he will convene the committee only after the elections.
