Meir Shitrit joins Livni

MK Meir Shitrit from Kadima announced today that he has decided to join Hatnua- Tzipi Livni's party, and compete for a place on the list for the Knesset.
Shitrit spoke with Kadima chairman MK Shaul Mofaz, and told him the decision.
Thus Shitrit becomes the seventh MK who dropped out of Kadima and connected with Livni and provides the number of MK's need for the split of seven members of the Knesset from Kadima, including Yoel Hasson, Shlomo Molla, Robert Tibiib, Orit Zuaretz and Rachel Adato – who are supposed to leave the party and join Livni.
The breakaway group of seven will apparently turn to the Knesset committee tomorrow to announce the split. The septet retirement from Kadima is important to Livni to receive the funding of parties of retirees.
