Tonight, at about 18:30, a young Palestinian arrived at a border guard position near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, and aroused the suspicion of the fighters who asked the man to show his identification.
The suspect presented the ID. When the fighter came up to check the certificate, the Palestinian attacked him, drew a gun and pointed it at the head of the warrior.
A woman fighter in the post saw what was happening, shot and wounded him critically. With his evacuation to hospital he was pronounced dead.
