Rare: Hgray"l and Hgr"sh on one stage

Despite the sharp conflict between the court of Hgray"l Steinman and Hgr"sh Auerbach, the two resided together yesterday in Bnei Brak.
Background to the meeting was an event at the 'Chochmos Shlomo' Yeshiva, headed by Rabbi Binyamin Birnbaum.
The Rosh Yeshiva is a student of Hgr"sh Auerbach on one hand, and an associate of Hgray"l Steinman on the other. Consequently, he invited both to the event on Sunday.
Shortly before the event took place Hgr"sh Auerbach arrived at the home of Hgray"l Steinman, when at the end of their conversation, the two arrived at the event.
The two entered the Yeshiva hall and were welcomed with an outburst of song.
The Rosh Yeshiva opened the event emotionally welcoming all those present, and following him Hgray"l spoke.
Hgray"l noted that the days of Chanuka are mainly to toil in Torah learning. Hgr"sh noted that the days of Chanuka are days of happiness of Torah and therefore we say the full Hallel, during which the decree of 'forgetting the Torah' was annulled.
