Halperin affair: Av Beit Din Makower attacks the son of the Sadigura Rebbe
Posters were distributed against Hgra"d Dunner • Sadigura Rebbe's son Hgri"m Friedman intervened against Hgr"ch Halperin, and received a sharp letter from the Gab"d Makower

The Halperin affair continues to stir London: posters were published yesterday (Monday) in the synagogues in Stamford Hill against Kedathia Rab"d Hgra"d Dunner, claiming he convinced his people to leave the shul of Hgr"ch Halpern in Golders Green.
According to those close to Hgra"d Dunner, who is behind the distribution of posters, are supporters and admirers of hgr"ch, who are trying to ward off the hatred felt by a handful of sectors, and to prove the innocence and righteousness of hgr"ch, who won admiration and respect from all rabbis in the community, up until now.
According to the writing on the posters, the Dayan Rabbi Dunner, personally contacted those who daven at the shul of Hgr"ch Halperin, in order to persuade them to leave, abandon Hgr"ch and turn their back on him.
A number of rabbis have stood in recent days alongside Hgr"ch, and defended his right and claim to establish a tribunal consisting of rabbis who are not members of the city, so they can check the claims without prejudice.
The dispute in question has already exceeded the orthodox territory in the city. For example number one London activists to B'Chadrei Charedim, that this week a secular woman stopped him and hurled criticism following the incident: "She told me it was a blasphemy what is happening here. She added that even if he did something, they should place on a scale the good things he has done for decades, for the city and for couples who did not get on and more, and in the second scale, the things they claim he did, and without a doubt, the good things will be heavier. He does not deserve this!"
Hgr"ch himself continues in the meantime to give lessons and is devoting his time for his community and those who daven in his shul. "Show me another Rabbi in such a situation, who manages to continue his everyday life in spiritually for the environment and represses aside the arrows and catapults people are shooting at him!" adds the activist.
"You do not understand the size of the destruction"
In recent days, fuel was added to the fire: Rabbi Yisrael Moshe Friedman, the rabbi of Sadigur Congregation in London and Sadigura Rebbe's son, who initially kept neutral and did not sign any letter, broke his silence and began to speak against Hgr"ch openly, before the community in his shul. He called his people to stay away from Rabbi Halperin, and according to the community, described him with unflattering nicknames - to say the least.
Hgri"m suggested the group praying in the shul of Reb Chaim to leave and set up their own shul, and even gave them this week a Chumash with Rashi shiur- as is customary by Reb Chaim every Shabbos.
On the other hand, the brother in law of Reb Chaim, Av Beit Din Makower Hgr"sh Lemberger, who has published three letters piercing with sharpness, one of them, addressed to Hgri"m Friedman in which he severely criticizes that "he is addressing this matter illegally". In his letter, Makower Av Beit Din wonders, how they sealed his brother-in-law, Rabbi Halperin without unilaterally giving him the right to speak for himself, and did not allow him to express his views. The rabbi requires him to stop lashing out against Reb Chaim and stop statements against him. He warns that destruction that this dispute could bring will be very large.
"I have come at this time, at a time when it is difficult to hear what is happening in your midst, and from hour to hour the fire grows bigger and destruction is enormous, in which the great and righteous of Israel gave their lives for generations of the terrible breach and destruction of the generation of the flood, from corrupting much for Israel, from the destructive device which has destructed many homes, and another destruction against Hght"z Reb Chaim, who for many years has devoted himself for his flock, and avreichim who are business owners, with my own eyes I have seem, the shiurim in his shul, etc., and now anger has gone out with a flame and another step is made towards the fire, which for generations has not been the like."
"I was amazed to hear and see that our friend Hdr"g Shlita is also is on the side of those fueling the fire. Throughout all generations people gave their lives to reduce dispute and increase respect for G-d, with all the arguments that are on the other side and the rabbis of their severe manifestation on Hashem, which is reflected through rabbis just like all complaints, which as we know is not the way of the Torah, etc. as we erect a special court not composed of the city when it was in any way controversial periods such as this one."
"How is it not enough for them all they wrote, whilst the rabbis ring each other not to participate in his lectures and not to go near his shul, and warned not to go near this rabbi? I am afraid and I fear to see the results which we have never heard. Whoever has a hand in this great destruction woe is to him for this great chilul Hashem, in addition to destructing every good thing in this province."
I hear the gossip from America, and here in Eretz Yisrael. They obviously don’t understand the great destruction. Don’t you have mercy on the younger generation? I expected more of Hdr"g shlita, who comes from a holy ancestry, who educated their community with fine morals and pure yiras shamayim, why have you not seen the need to stand firm on this terrible destruction, and how can one make a decision before a special Beis Din has made a decision on this? And as it says, how can one do such bad, the spilling of one's blood with no boundaries from one side of the world to the other. Since when has it been heard that one judges a person without allowing him to defend himself? How can it be? Is this considered the right way?
