Former President Moshe Katsav complained this afternoon (Wednesday) that the Torah wing prison inmates at Ma'asiyahu, harassed him and poured water on the mattress in his cell.
Moshe Katsav is serving his sentence in Torah wing Ma'asiyahu prison.
After complaints about the friction in his cell, department officials were called to the scene, and the Prison Service is investigating the case.
Two months ago Ami Popper, the prisoner who killed seven Arabs and repented, from the Torah wing at the Ma'asiyahu prison, was transferred to Ayalon. This is due to repeated complaints by the former president that Popper was harassing him and bothering him.
IPS did not rushed to move Popper and only after the harassment continued, the prison commanders ordered Popper to collect his belongings and took him to Ayalon jail.
But it seems that the problem is not resolved. Lately, it seems, more prisoners came together against Moshe Katsav, and they are the ones responsible for the abuse
