Agreement with the IDF: "yeshiva students tests will be performed by a civil surgeon"
The agreement reached at the Gafni and Litzman meeting with the Main Personnel Directorate: "invasive tests can be performed by a civil surgeon, and their findings will be acceptable in the centers

Due to many complaints from yeshiva students on harassment during their stabilizing in the centers, and before a change is declared in regulation issued by the Council of Torah Sages of Degel HaTorah, to report for testing as required, but not to sign any documents - Deputy Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman and Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni met today (Monday) with heads of the IDF Personnel Directorate.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, "At a meeting today between the head of planning and Manpower Personnel Director Gen. Gadi Agmon, and the Deputy Minister Yaakov Litzman and other participants, Brigadier General Survey Agmon placed before the deputy minister the stabilization processes taking place for ultra-orthodox candidates for security service.
"At the meeting it was clarified that the rules for the screening procedure which meet the lifestyle and beliefs of the candidates to the service are being as promised, and it was agreed that invasive tests can be performed by a civil surgeon, and their findings will be acceptable in the centers."
Following agreements reached at a meeting between the heads of Manpower and the MKs Hgray"l Steinman ordered immediately to keep the guidelines of the Council of Torah Sages of Degel HaTorah.
Vizhnitz Rebbe, who was updated on the meeting details by Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman evening came at 18:30 to the house of Hgray"l Steinman at 5 Chazon Ish, for a joint decision. This is due to the words of the Rebbe at Shabbos Seuda Shlishit to his followers: "I order all the advocates of Vizhnitz, and ask all those who are fearful to Hashem not to stabalize there, G-d forbid. If they come to take you with iron chains, the Vizhnitz Rebbe, say that I do not allow going to such a place and they can take me to jail!"
At the meeting the two discussed the danger of recruitment and the problems caused by the recruitment office, and held a discussion on the preparation for the elections. At the meeting the Vizhnitz Rebbe and Hgray"l expressed their appreciation to the Knesset members Gafni and Litzman who are working with great dedication on the draft issue.
