An Arab taxi driver this morning tried to force his car into the Oz police station in Jabel Mukaber in Jerusalem. When refused by a border policeman at the entrance, he hit the foot of the warrior - who was lightly wounded.

Another policeman standing near drew his weapon and hit the foot of the driver. He was taken in mild condition to - Hadassah Ein Kerem. The warrior Police was also injured slightly and evacuated for treatment.

Investigation of the incident shows that the taxi driver, a 39 year old Arab resident of Jabel Mukaber known to the police, arrived with his car at the station entrance and hit a delivery car who was leaving the station. Warrior Police at the entrance approached the driver and asked to speak with him. The taxi driver drove backwards, then forward - and hit the fighter. Three policemen who heard and saw the event drew their guns and hit the taxi. The taxi driver was slightly wounded.

The police say that the incident is racially motivated. The suspect said at the initial investigation: "I went crazy; I wanted to drive into the station."
