Panic among the haredi community in Montreal since yesterday morning, when shots were fired at Haredi institutions in the city.

A volley of shots was fired at the 'Tzeirei Hadas' shull on Victoria Van Horn Street, and another at the girls' school of Satmar.

First a volley was shot in the direction of the shull and after a while, a volley was shot at the school, and a non-Jewish youngster was injured.

Large police forces arrived at the scene, and the place was closed to traffic.

Last night a police chief made contact with the executive director of Chaveirim organization in Montreal, and informed him that the suspect of the shooting affair was caught.

An initial investigation found that the fire of criminals was directed at a man fleeing to the hareidi area, and not on an anti-Semitic background.

Meanwhile, the Chaveirim organization caught a local young man who violently attacked Orthodox Jews.

The youngster was involved in more than thirty cases of violence against hareidim.

The police chief said that the attacker will not be released on bail and will remain in custody until the end of proceedings.

The organization turned to the public and asked anyone who was a victim of the attacker, and yet did not report it to the police, to call the organization and report it.
