Passenger stabbed haredi bus driver • slightly injured


At 17:35 the Ichud Hatzalah center received a report of a man who was attacked and stabbed next to a bus at the Ra'anana intersection, later on shooting was reported too.

Ichud Hatzala paramedics and MDA teams who arrived at the scene, reported that the casualty is very slightly injured, and did not need to evacuate him to hospital.

The Haredi bus driver is a resident of Bnei Brak, one of the passengers attacked and stabbed him, and he was slightly wounded.

An initial investigation found that at the bus stops on the Ra'anana intersection, two passengers were arguing over a seat, the bus driver intervened in the debate, and then one of them began attacking the driver.

The driver got off the bus and the assailant after him, taking out a Japanese knife and lightly injuring the driver. In response the driver pulled out his gun and fired several shots into the air.

A traffic policeman who happened to pass by - identified the incident, and began to chase the suspect, later joined by Kfar Sava police, and together they arrested the stabber.
