Hgr"ch pulled out a ג note, Hgray"l insisted on walking to the polls

Rebbes, Gedolei Yisrael, Roshei Yeshivas and council members of the Torah sages went out this morning (Tuesday) to implement their right to vote at the polls.

B'Chadrei Charedim website, with coverage throughout the day on the votes of the Gedolei Yisrael.

The first amongst the voters was Hgr"ch Kanievsky who arrived at the polls at 7:10 at the Harav Wolff Seminary on Baal HaTanya Street and voted. Hgr"ch showed the many people who were present there the note with the letter ג.

Hgray"l Steinman arrived as usual at the Talmud Torah 'Pik Tevunah' Zichron Meir, on Haadmor Megur Street, located near his home. Hgray"l was supposed to vote at 8:00 in the morning, and family members waited for the driver Itche Rosengarten. Hgray"l asked: Why don’t we leave? When they replied to him that "we are waiting for Itche", he replied: "Absolutely not, we need a reward for our steps" – he left his home on 5 Chazon Ish Street and walked about 10 minutes to the ballot.

Later on, Hgray"l tested the eighth graders of the Talmud Torah, as he does during every election. Following that he was a sandek at the bris of his grandson.

Hgr"o Yosef arrived this morning accompanied by the trio - Aryeh Deri, Eli Yishai and Ariel Atias – at the Noam school for girls on 3 Basel Street in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem. He later served as a sandek at his Beit Midrash on 45 Hakablan, for the son of Yosef Chaim Kalff, Deri's aide.

In Bnei Brak Hgr"n Karelitz arrived this morning to vote at the Beis Yaakov Gur, on Ben Zoma Street. Hgrm"tz Bergman came to the Bnei Brak municipality building on Jerusalem Street. Hgr"m Gross voted at the Wolff Seminary on Baal Hatanya.

Rabbi David Abuchatzira voted at a nearby school in Nahariya.

Rabbi Eliezer Berland, President of the Shuvu Banim institutions, came especially from Beitar Illit and voted at the polls at the Community Center in the Morasha neighborhood in Jerusalem. He waved the note with the letter ג and said: "Every note like this distances the dream of Lapid to recruit the haredim."

Later the Gerrer Rebbe came to the new branch of the Harav Wolf High School on 12 Baal HaTanya Street in Bnei Brak. Following, he served as sandek at six brises of his chassidim in private homes, and not at the Moshe Yosef shul, as usual. The Rebbe also came to visit the Skolov-Kotzk Rebbe at the Maaynei Hayeshua hospital. This evening the Rebbe will attend the wedding of the first great granddaughter of the Pnei Menachem zt"l at the Modiin Halls in Ramat Gan.

Shortly after 11:00 the Vizhnitzer Rebbe came to vote at the polls at the Vizhnitz School on Ezra Street in Bnei Brak.

Rosh Yeshiva of Ponovicz, Hgry"g Edelstein, voted at the polls at Harav Wolff Seminary on Hirsh Street. After voting he said to his associates that "every vote added to Yahadut Hatorah brings about honor for Hashem."

At 14:00 pm the young Vizhnitzer Rebbe arrived at the ballot, accompanied by a convoy of 40 vehicles.

In Jerusalem Rabbi Yitzchak Sheiner Rosh Yeshiva of Kamenitz came to vote at the Talmud Torah Zichron Torah Moshe on 29 Fishel Street.

In the Bayit Vegan neighborhood Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshiva Ateret Yisrael came to vote (Youth Campus School on Rabbi Frank 20th Street), and Rabbi Yehuda Ades Rosh Yeshiva of Kol Yaakov (Beis Yaakov ballot on Shaarei Torah).

The Slonim Rebbe voted after davening at the Ort school ballot on Haneviim Street.

At the Belzer chassidus – where the Rebbe does not vote, as was custom by his uncle Rabbi Aharon of Belz zt"l – the Rebbe urged his family to go out and vote. Even his mother, the elderly Rebbetzin aged 94 went out to vote, together with the Belzer Rebbetzin and his son HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Aaron Mordechai Rokach. An interesting anecdote: Last night the Rebbe asked the gabbai, if his grandson, Shalom, who will be married in six months, has the right to vote? The gabbai replied that only in another month he will be 18.

A group of Belzer chassidim have been present since the early morning at the gravesite of the Hmhar"a of Belze, on Har Hamenuchos, to pray for the success of Yahadut Hatorah.

In Haifa the Seret Vizhnitz Rebbe voted at 11:00 at the Talmud Torah Toras Emes on Ben Baba Street in the city. The senior mashgiach Rabbi Dov Yaffe voted at the Pais Club on 4 Rav Kook Street in Rechasim.

The Pittsburgh Rebbe went out in Ashdod for the first time in his life to vote at the polls on Chativat Hanegev Street, near the Beis Malka School. The Chernobyl Rebbe also received a call from his father in-law, HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Aharon Mordechai Rotner, by mission of the Belzer Rebbe that in these elections it is important to vote in these elections, and went out this morning to vote.
