French believe: "Jews have too much power"

A new poll in France reveals a high and surprising level of anti-Semitism.

In view of the increasing expressions of anti-Semitism in France, the World Zionist Organization, held a survey through Market Watch company to examine the level of anti-Semitism among French citizens against the Jews.

The survey showed that anti-Semitic attitudes are common in France and over 40% of the French population believes that Jews "have too much power in the business world."

It also found that 47% believe that "French Jews are more loyal to Israel than to the country where they live," 19% of young men up to the age of 24 expressed negative attitudes toward Jews of France, on the other hand 43% of those with academic education or higher expressed positive attitudes towards the Jews of France.

54% of French citizens mainly with academic education or higher and with higher incomes, think that the source of acts of violence is anti-Jewish attitudes, rather than due to negative anti-Israeli attitudes toward Israel.

60% of the French prefer to avoid expressing an opinion against Israel, while 20% who expressed a favorable opinion were adults.
