Hezbollah announced that one of its officials was assassinated at his home in Beirut, capital of Lebanon. The senior is a Hajj Hassan Hollow - Keyes, and according to the organization, was very close to the Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
Statement released this morning (Wednesday) organization accuses Israel of killing Keyes, while on his way back to his home in the city of St. Therese. "Israel is automatically accused of this horrific crime."
The organization said that Israel is the primary suspect in the act. "The Israeli enemy tried to kill Keyes many times, but failed until now."
Keyes's son died in July 2006, during the Second Lebanon War, but it is unclear whether he was killed in action.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at Baalbek, Bekaa Valley near the Syrian border.
Later, Baalbek Sunni organization claimed responsibility for the assassination of Hassan Acis last night in Beirut.
