Canceling of the Rebbes Moetzet journey to the US- caused a wave of cancellations by chassidim who thought of joining their Rebbe - and were disappointed.
One of the largest travel agencies specializing in Rabbanim journeys tells B'Chadrei Charedim: "Initially all the chassiduses ordered for their rebbe an escort and an additional number of tickets each located on another flight, to get to the destination, then it was decided that everyone will fly together and that too was arranged for everyone to be on one flight. "
"In fact the tickets were ordered personally by Admorim houses and not by Agudath Yisrael.
Ticket prices soared to 1500 up to 1800 dollars and 5000 dollars to fly in business class. The main chassidus with the greatest response was Belz Hasidism there was at least 100 people who booked tickets. In other chassiduses it was the Rebbe and maximum two to three joining Gabaim ".
"Everyone ordered officially without printing the ticket so that once the trip was canceled on Sunday everyone cancelled and so it was a financial loss for both sides, those who lost basically are the same politicians who went before to prepare the journey and returned empty-handed."
