In Manchester, England they have been trying for four years to establish an Eruv that will respond to the hundreds of members of the local community who have a hard time every Shabbos not to carry.
After work and with the approval of the rabbis of the city, starting this coming Shabbos they will be able to carry their children.

Now, these same groups in Manchester are trying to combat the Eiruv but this time they will not be able to, after the eldest Rav of European Rabbis, Av Beis Din Manchester Hagaon Hatzadik Rabbi Mendel Sneibalg, supports the project and throughout the entire construction of the Eiruv he was asked and instructed how to do things.
Opponent rabbis have published that allegedly Rabbi Sneibalg is oppsed, but a video was published by the Eiruv founders who came and read a letter to him that all the eiruv activity was done with his consent and directing.
Yesterday (Monday) a letter was published in the name of Rabbi Chaim Halpern, son in law of Rabbi Sneibalg, which prohibits the new eiruv, but city officials say the letter and the signature were forged from start to finish and Rabbi Chaim Halpern does not interfere with other matters at this period.
