The explosion in the Czech Republic: Palestinians apologized

Two weeks after the explosion in the Palestinian ambassador in Prague, the Palestinian Authority formally apologized to the Czech Republic.

Czech Foreign Minister, Karel Schwarzenberg, announced today (Tuesday) that the Palestinians apologized after police in Prague located at the Ambassador's residence 12 weapons held in the country illegally. One estimate was that the Palestinians authorities used it as a way station for weapons.

Since the explosion when opening an old safe, Palestinians claimed that it was illegal weapons from the Cold War. Palestinian embassy spokesman claimed that the safe was in daily use, and therefore does not make sense that explosives were hidden there.

Palestinians told the Czechs that drew the necessary conclusions and actions taken to similar incidents will not repeat in the future. They also apologized for the incident itself that killed the ambassador.

Czech foreign minister said after the blast that is concerned by the discovery, he said constituted "a violation of diplomatic rules." But now the two sides agreed that there await the outcome of the police investigation. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Authority promised to improve the relationship with the Czech people to dispel the fears and reservations.
