Dozens of rabbis gathered in Hamburg, Germany earlier this week found that dozens of mikvehs in Europe who treated them as kosher do not meet the most basic kashrus threshold of a mikveh. The rabbis took part in the special issue of ritual baths, sponsored by RCE.

The event served as a huge conference starter project's ritual baths, RCE, it was announced two months ago. As part of the project will be built all over Europe 30 (!) new ritual baths, RCE, surrounded estimated at 2 million Euros. The project joins a similar project recently completed 28 ritual baths which were built all over Europe with the support of the organization.

During the conference rabbis heard from ritual baths experts, both from the halachic and engineering aspect - Architectural Detailed instructions for how to carry out construction of a mikveh, no less important: how to maintain it after it was built. Various speakers made it clear that ritual baths built as kosher can be disqualified in the absence of proper treatment, and that the tests conducted in Europe found dozens of ritual baths improperly maintained and improper for use.

Among the speakers at the conference were Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Lichtenstein, head KF London and a member of the Presidium of the Council of European Rabbis, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Raskin, dayan and Rabbi Association Haredi communities in London, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Garelik, Rabbi European Union auspices of Rabbi Schneur Havlin , Chabad Rabbi of Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem , Orthodox architect Yedidya Chasin specializing in building ritual baths and more.

Conference was attended by rabbis from many countries, including Germany, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Austria and more. The conference was hosted by Hamburg Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shlomo Bistritzki and community President Mr. Bernard Afertitz.

Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, vice president of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe noted that the conference was held, inter alia, because they received reliable evidence for ritual baths event activity tested by rabbis who visited the scene and turned out not to be kosher in the first place. "

Rabbi Menachem Margolin, CEO of the Association of Jewish organizations in the European Union, and who also serves as CEO of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe, said: "Our aim is to provide a comprehensive response to the rabbis in all areas of Jewish life and issues of purity only.
