Undercover forces stopped senior in Hebron
Iyob Al Kawasma, who was involved in a series of terrorist attacks, was arrested after 16 years which has been set as requested

Undercover unit arrested last night (Tuesday) Iyob Al Kawasma 49 years old , a leader of Hamas' military wing , as part of a joint operation of the IDF and the General Security Service .
Al Kawasma , who was arrested in Tevet תש"ד by Palestinian security forces , was released just two weeks ago , and since then tried not to stay in a fixed place , once he knew that Israel wanted his arrest as he was declared as requested .
He hid for over a decade until arrested by Palestinian security forces. During the second intifada, Al Kawasma was involved in the preparation of many attacks which killed and wounded hundreds of Israelis, including attacks on bus No. 2 in Jerusalem, the double suicide bombing in Beersheba and No. 37 in Haifa.
Apparently the arrest came after recently tried to renew and revitalize the military wing of Hamas in the West Bank along with Hamas , in order to extract acts of terrorism and of terrorist activity against Israel within the Green Line and beyond.
According to Palestinian reports, military forces broke into a nearby family supermarket near the Hebron University, and held their weapons at Al Kawasma . After the arrest they also confiscated the security cameras.
