Zimbabwe: Rabbi's associates met with the Minister of Tourism
The meeting was discussed by the associates of Rabbi Berland with members of the Government and Minister of Tourism arrival arrangements of devotees for upcoming Purim holiday

Rabbi Berland in Zimbabwe: in recent days had meetings with proponents of state authorities in order to regulate the arrival of hundreds of devotees for the holiday of Purim and Passover.
According to reports obtained by Behadrey Haredim, a close associate of Rabbi in Zimbabwe, in recent days there were several meetings with heads of government, in part with members of the Government of Zimbabwe and the Minister of Tourism of the State.
The meeting discussed the arrangements by associates of the Rabbi following arrival of hundreds of students who wish to celebrate the approaching holidays, and procedural issues which were regulated for this purpose.
A close source to the rabbi says that "by order of the Rabbi and with government approval Chassidim of the Rabbi will come to celebrate Purim in Zimbabwe."
How many followers do you expect?
"Around 100-150 people are expected. Rabbi asked and ordered the women and children not to come, and this is because we are not yet prepared to host women. There is no women's section at the synagogue."
Construction of the Rabbi's home is nearing its end and has started construction of guest houses for his followers and guests and will include a separate women's area, mikveh's, a synagogue, study rooms and dining rooms.
One source who is close to the rabbi emphasizes that "all guests and followers of the Rabbi will come in coordination and approval of the government."
Recall Rabbi Berland was forced to leave Morocco, after the secular community leaders pressed the authorities to ask the rabbi to leave the country for fear of Hasidim who come to visit the rabbi will arouse anti-Semitic incidents, and has settled in Zimbabwe where he is able to continue in peace and contentment.
