Next storm: 23 year old resident of Ashdod, Rabbi Yehuda Leib R., Vizhnitz follower and teacher at the Talmud Torah of Vizhnitz in Bnei Brak, was arrested today when he arrived to the induction center in Tel Hashomer.
The scholar father of three children has received mobilization orders but ignored them and not stabilized. In recent days once again received a summons today informing him that he was assigned to serve in the military rabbinate.
The scholar went to consult with the Vizhnitz Rebbe in Bnei Brak, who advised him to "go there but not to cooperate. I know they will arrest you and I hope not for long. Take your tallis and tefillin and speak only Yiddish, so do not sign the documents and do not serve in the IDF".
This morning the scholar stabilized at the recruitment office as required and began to speak only Yiddish as someone who does not understand Hebrew, but the recruitment center called a Yiddish-speaking clerk who tried to talk with him. After his refusal to cooperate, he was arrested.
A family member says to Behadrey Haredim: "He is very strong. Despite the difficult condition in which he is found and although he endured trying hours, he did not break. They threatened him with threats of prison and is staying there under difficult conditions, but he listens to his Rebbe and he decided he was going to report with instructions received by the Rebbe".
