Monsey District Court judge yesterday issued (Tuesday) , on the matzo bakery a closing order makeshift temporary structure installed at Yeshivat Ateret Yisrael Congregation led by Rabbi Chaim Rosenberg.

Judge Simon Allen issued the order after neighbors noticed smoke billowing from the site and alerted firefighters.

Firefighters discovered the oven to bake matzos operated without a license, and alerted inspectors who discovered the yeshiva had other temporary structures erected without appropriate licenses.

Rabbi Chaim Rosenberg was summoned by police and prosecuted for running a bakery without a license and causing a risk.

Rosenberg argued that he has the necessary permits, but found it difficult to present them. He also claimed that the place is currently empty of students due to the Passover holiday.

The judge issued an order closing the bakery and ordered Rosenberg to obtain permits to operate the yeshiva.
