CEO Hatzalah in New York admitted fraud

David Cohen, director of the Municipal Council of poverty in the Jewish public, and retired CEO of Hatzalah New York, admitted today (Wednesday) huge defrauding insurance companies totaling $ 9 million.

In a press release issued by the Ministry of the Attorney General of the State of New York stated that Cohen, 70, admitted that he received the sum of $ 650,000 in bribes.

The trial is expected to take place on July 9 and by the severity of the offenses Cohen is expected to four years.

In 2013 Cohen was forced to resign from the management of Hatzalah because of accusations and suspicions. Fraud partner William Raffogel also acknowledged that helped serve defrauding through money laundering.

If Raffogel is charged he is expected a penalty of three and a half to ten years in prison.
