The talk of Williamsburg : The verdict sentenced yesterday (Monday) a district judge in Brooklyn ruled Schnitzler deliberately splashed bleach on Nahum Rosenberg , a website and a specialist lawyer for the treatment of assaulting children, will not have a prison sentence .
Meilech Schnitzler, age 38, a resident of Williamsburg, Brooklyn and neighborhood fish store owner, splashed a cup of bleach on the face of Nahum Rosenberg when he passed his door.
Rosenberg, a resident of the neighborhood, is controversial and hated by the Satmar community. Following the incident, he injured his eye. The incident occurred in December 2012, a day after the sentencing Nehemiah Weberman was sentenced to 103 years in prison.
Schnitzler, with a clean record, confessed and was sentenced under a plea bargain to five years' probation. Court spokesman said the judge decided to accept the plea of Schnitzler because of his clean record and the fact that Rosenberg was not really hurt.
Yisrael Fried Schnitzler's attorney argued that Schnitzler just cleaned with bleach the ground outside the fish shop when Nahum Rosenberg passed , and the two verbal argument ensued during which Schnitzler threw the cup of bleach on Nahum Rosenberg's face.
