Visiting South Africa: Rebbetzin Tehillah Berland, wife of Hagaon R' Eliezer Berland, leader of Shuvu Banim community who is in exile in South Africa, arrived today (Monday) in the state to stay with her husband.
The Rebbetzin's trip was made possible after her personal passport way returned a few days ago and she was allowed to leave the confines of Israel, following an exit delay imposed on her six months ago.
The Rebbetzin flew to South Africa with an associate of the Rabbi - Yaron Yamin, and she will stay with her husband probably until Shavuot. As recalled, the Rebbetzin also stayed in Morocco with her husband last Tammuz.
An exit order was also removed from the son of Rabbi Berland, Nahman, who got his passport and is already to fly immediately, along with his sons and his son-in-law to Uman, since he was not at the place last Rosh Hashanah.
Behadrey Haredim learned that after the Rebbetzin's return from South Africa , her son Nahman will travel to be with his father.
Meanwhile, the Shuvu Banim community is preparing for Lag Ba'omer and will hold a kindling in Meron late at night, as it has done every year.
It will be the second year without the presence of the community leader Rabbi Berland and the lighting will be held by the rabbis of the community. Rabbi Berland will make do by delivering a special lesson to his followers over the phone, as he did last year.
