Stark court case: charges of murder, kidnapping and robbery

Dozens of Satmar chassidim arrived yesterday (Monday) afternoon at the courtroom in Brooklyn - where the indictment filed against Kendall Felix, the murderer of Rabbi Menachem Stark Hy"d, was read out.

The hearing was to take place in the morning but was postponed for unknown reasons to the late afternoon. Accordingly, Williamsburg activists took advantage of the delay and called on the public to arrive in the courtroom to be seen during the arraignment.

A longtime activist of the neighborhood explains to Behadrey Haredim: "When the judges see that the hall is full of people, as in our case, they refer to the case very seriously - more than in other cases. We organized transportation, and thank G-d the hall was packed, and the judge got the message."

"The murderer was charged with murder, kidnapping and robbery attempt, but the detention is still foggy. We were also disappointed to see that two civilians who were questioned since Kendall Felix's arrest, have not yet been arrested, although according to a police source there is one who helped kidnap Stark and one who sat on him and choked him to death, and a third suspect who came into the vehicle later whose job was to burn the body and get rid of it."

The jury decided not to release Felix on bail.
