The Orthodox community in Golders Green in London is shocked: Two skinheads were arrested yesterday (Monday) in Golders Green in London when they chanted anti-Semitic calls at diners in the kosher restaurant in Golders Green.
The incident occurred at the entrance to Golders Green Avenue at the entrance to the kosher lemehadrin White House Express restaurant, when two skinheads showed up at the restaurant door and upon noticing people entering the restaurant, saluted like Nazi s soldiers saluted and declared together "Heil Adolf Hitler."
Dr. Neville Cassleman, 70, an attorney who witnessed the incident, said: "I walked down the street with a group of friends when we noticed two skinheads marching toward the restaurant, in a march which reminded us of a military parade, it looked a little suspicious and we decided to follow them. They kept walking at a quick, even pace, when they arrived at the restaurant they swung sharply towards the entrance, saluted as was customary in the German army and together shouted "Heil Hitler".
" It was a well designed act, it was intended to offend Jews, my friends and I were shocked - we all have family members who perished in the Holocaust, it seems that the Holocaust is not yet over, and Heil Hitler is still openly declared in a Jewish neighborhood in London," said Cassleman.
Panic rose inside the restaurant, Hashomrim organization were rushed to the scene and two of its members began to follow two skinheads until police arrived.
Gavriel Aust, executive director of Hashomrim in Golders Green, says: "Our problem always in all cases to which we are called, is to track the culprit until the time the police arrives, and everyone knows that the police take time to get to the venue, sometimes it even takes enough time for the criminal to disappear.
"In this case we followed the two skinheads, and some of us came to the restaurant to protect Dr. Neville and his friends who testified before the police, and allowed the arrest," said Gavriel.
The two were arrested on charges of violation of public order on a nationalist background. Police confirmed that the two skinheads were arrested for disturbing the public order and that they will remain in custody until a judge will decide whether to release them on bail.
