Lag B'Omer has long since become a gold mine for various organizations active at the Rashbi's tomb in Meron and its surroundings. Some are turning to the observant and Haredi public during the year as well, and most of them focus mainly on their big day, Lag B'Omer.

If until recently the segulah of 'Chai Rotel' was starred in all the various campaigns, this year several organizations upgraded what they offer those who come up to Meron. But not only for them, people who remain home in the long run, will be able to enjoy the 'zchus' running for them, in return for considerable payment of course .

First to the new magnetic card, the creation of the Hospitality of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron.

The card is sold in Williamsburg as in other cities where there is a charedi population in the U.S. Agents on behalf of the organization are selling the tickets which actually give VIP service to their owners. On Lag B'Omer there are two areas available to the guests of the hospitality, an outdoor tent and an inner hall. Anyone holding a card, will be able to enjoy free meals on weekdays and Shabbos, starting from Thursday to the end of Lag B'Omer. The guests will eat in the interior hall of course and improved meals will be served to them.

In addition, the entrance to the cave opening located adjacent to the hospitality, is closed, as known, to all celebrants. Those equipped with a magnetic card will also receive this privilege and could come to the entrance to the cave and pray there as they please. The card is obviously personal and non-transferable.

And how much does this luxury cost? Well, for a modest sum of 1800 dollars in total, you can purchase the card with the variety of rights it entails.

Even the body calling itself 'Mehadrin Parking- Be'er Harashbi', is offering rights to celebrants. This is probably a Mehadrin parking lot adjacent to the city of Yokneam.

For a donation of 690 shekels overall, one can buy at the 'Shehakol' compound (where soft drinks will be served) or at the 'Mezonos' compound, (where pastries will be served) the rights to one hour, Lag B'Omer, and all the 'shehakol' or 'mezonos' blessings which will be said there, will be in the merit of the donor or his family for a match or children.

And the next right is not just an anecdote. For a donation of NIS 690, you can buy in the 'asher yotzor' area located in the parking lot too, all the blessings of 'asher yotzor' which will be said there. The rights will be in the merit of the donor or his relatives, for refuah sheleima.

But it seems that the prize for originality may be given to the organization 'Segulas Harashbi'.

In a detailed price list the organization published that there is a segulah originated from Mekubalim (name not disclosed) that if one wishes to contribute for a yeshua, one should donate the full amount as the number of letters of request.

The lowest rate is 'hatzlacha' whose gematria number is 138 dollars. But since an ordinary success is not the same as a resounding success, the organization offers an option to donate the number of 'hatzlacha raba' whose gematria almost doubles itself and becomes 345 dollars. The highest rate is for those interested in 'hashpaos tovos', which works out to 1284 dollars.

Those who have not yet found a 'bayit' (home) will pay 412 dollars, and one who makes do with a 'dira' (apartment) will pay only half, which is 219 dollars ...

In a telephone call to the organization's call center, which is currently active twenty-four hours a day, one can hear one of the callers ask, how much he would have to pay the organization if he wants to gain the birth of twins.

"Will I have to pay twice 'ben zachar' each one being in gematria $279 or as the gematria of 'zera shel kayama' which costs 768 dollars ...?" He asked, the answer was unclear. The latter continues to joke, and says he and his wife are eager to go on vacation and can not for some reason...

"Do I have to give the sum of 'menuchas hanefesh' (peace of mind) that is 939 dollars?" Again, the representative's response was not clear, but when the anonymous caller keeps telling with mock seriousness, that his wife wants to go to Florida and he prefers to Israel, the representative offers him to prefer the 'Land of Israel'. Not because it is the holy land, but of course, because of its greater gematria...

Intriguing how much the gematria of 'get free of charlatans' is...
