Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: tonight (Sunday) news came of the death of the chief Chabad emissary in England and member of the Center for Education Global Chabad Association Rabbi Nachman Sudak z"l, at the age of 78 .

During the last conference of shluchim Rabbi Sudak was hospitalized at Rambam Medical Center in Boro Park, after suffering of a heart condition for a period of time, where Rabbi Sudak fought for his life. In Adar he recovered and returned to shlichus work, but his condition deteriorated this morning and this evening he returned his soul to its Creator.

In 5720 Rabbi Sudak was appointed to serve as a Chabad emissary in London, and was able to generate a tremendous revolution all over the United Kingdom. Close to one hundred Chabad shluchim serve all over the country.

Rabbi Sudak was one of the veteran and prominent shluchim, and in light of his accumulated experience, his judgment and yiras shomayim which preceded his wisdom, he was a member of the general committees of the institutions of Chabad-Lubavitch movement: Association of Chabad Hasidim, Center of Education and Machane Yisrael.

He was one of those who visited the home of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zt"l and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka A"H.

He was privileged to make a Kiddush Hashem in public appearances in England. In 5768 he was chosen by the Jewish newspaper 'The Jewish Telegraph' in second place on the list of most influential Jews in England, after the chief rabbi at the time, Rabbi Dr. Lord Jonathan Sacks. When Rabbi Sacks came to be the keynote speaker during the banquet of global shluchim conference several years ago, he was the guest at Rabbi Sudak's table, with whom he had a warm and personal relationship over the years.

His funeral will take place tomorrow (Monday) afternoon in London.

May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
