Lakewood police are investigating a case in which two yeshiva students were robbed this morning (Monday) at gunpoint one by one, a few blocks from eachother.

The first case occurred on the street no. 4: Two gentiles, one African American descent and the other Hispanic, came over to a scholar and at gunpoint ordered him to empty his pockets, having emptied them - two men fled in a white van waiting for them.

The scholar called the police which arrived, and while the cops were finding out information and testimony from eyewitnesses, another call came aboutgunpoint robbery, which occurred a few blocks away from the first incident.

On another block the two gentiles approached another yeshiva student, and at gunpoint ordered him to empty his wallet. The scholar was resourceful and threw the wallet to the sidewalk across the street, the robbers rushed to pick up the wallet and in the meantime the scholar was able to flee.

Police are now looking into the security cameras into the case of the robbery, when the investigation focuses on the question of whether it is serial bandits who raided the streets of Lakewood.
