Anti-Semitism rearing its head in Sweden: Biggest newspaper in Sweden reports this morning (Monday) that a 38-year-old man was beaten with iron bars last night in Malmo, Sweden after he hung an Israeli flag on his window.

According to the Swedish newspaper, argument ensued between the man who hung the flag and several bystanders, and when he came out of his house ten men chased him and beat him severely.

The man fled and was found in a nearby neighborhood, from where he was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but there is no danger to his life.

According to the report, no one was arrested for involvement in the case.

Over half a million people live in Malmo and surrounding areas, and is known as a center inhabited by large immigrant community, including many Muslims.

Rabbi Shneur Kesselman, the Chabad emissary in place for many years, speaks with utmost care on the case, saying: "It's no secret there is anti-Semitism here, there are a lot of Muslims and there are anti-Semitic incidents, one thousand five hundred Jewish families live in the city. Yesterday's case is an odd case; I received phone calls from local media. The injured man is not a Jew, no Jews live in the area where the incident occurred, and in any case I do not want to talk about it."
