Agudath Israel of America calls on U.S. president to continue his support of Israel • "Clarify to Hamas that the only option is peace"

Agudath Israel of America calls on President Obama to support Israel. "Strong support by President Obama for Israel makes it clear to the Palestinians that they have no other option except peace," says the message.
Agudath Israel of America responds to the refusal of Hamas to maintain the ceasefire and asks President Obama to continue his strong support of Israel, and make clear to the Palestinians that rejecting the cease-fire in Gaza and its impact on the citizens of Gaza, are the responsibility of Hamas.
"On this occasion," says the message, "we thank President Obama for his support for Israel during this difficult and desperate time. The U.S. funded the development of the "Iron Dome" defense system which has become a valuable resource that saved countless lives.
"The close cooperation between the U.S. military and the Israeli army in recent years played a critical role in promoting Israel's defense against the terrorist threat with which it competes, especially these days.
"It should be clear to the world that the consequences of continuing the fighting in Gaza and its residents are the responsibility of Hamas. It should be made clear to President Abbas that the Palestinian Authority that includes Hamas is not a partner for peace. One has to let them know unequivocally that continued Palestinian violence will have a big impact on the continued American support".
