Antwerp shocked: "No sale to Jews"

Disbelief in the Jewish community in Antwerp: a clothing store located in the center of the Ultra Orthodox neighborhood refused to sell to a Haredi woman because she was Jewish.

The woman entered the "Cotton" store clothes, but the seller told her that "you can not buy here because of the situation in Palestine."

The woman's husband returned to the store and the seller explained her refusal stems from a provision of the business owner. Her husband recorded the conversation with the cashier and filed a complaint with the police.

However, the police interviewed the business owner who denied the allegations and claimed that some wholesalers with whom he works are Jews, and this is proof that he has nothing against Jews.

Recently anti-Semitism in Antwerp has increased, graffiti against Jews have become almost routine.

Last Shabbos a Hamas demonstration was held in Antwerp in which protesters demanded "slaughter the Jews." The demonstration was attended by about five hundred people including at least three local politicians.
