J's Witnesses Plan Mass Baptism of Jews this Shabbos
The community of Rishon Lezion is up in arms about the planned Baptism of Jews this Shabbos.

As was revelaed by Kol Bramah Radio the event is expected to take place between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Unfortunately a number of residents of the city who found themselves in a difficult financial situation have fallen prey to the missionary group operating in Rishon, and over time have agreed to convert to Christianity.
The Rabanim of the city have called an emergency meeting for tomorrow to plan their protest which they hope to carry out opposite the event.
Akiva Meir, a city council member belonging to Shas has demanded that the city mayor cancel the event saying:
"It has come to my attention r"l that a well-known missionary group has been given permission to baptize Jews in a building belonging to the municipality. It is also known that this group is acting to against the interests of the Jewish State by changing the Jewish character of its residents. During the past century this group has even joined forces with the Nazis during WWll against the Jewish People.
I am not speaking against the freedom of expression, nor against the freedom of individuals to chose their religion. Yet there is a very big difference between freedom of personal expression- and the legitimization of the conversion of Jews to Christianity by the municipality."
