Fire has broken out in the forest at the edge of Har Mamenuchos in Yerushalyaim. The fire is quickly spreading do the strong winds and extreme weather conditions.

A fire has been reported at the edge of Har Hamenuchos. Do the extreme weather conditions characterized by high temperatures, and dry winds the fire is spreading rapidly.
Ten fire companies are fighting the blaze and firefighting jets have been called to the scene.

A total of 56 firefighting teams, 10 firefighting planes, a police helicopter and around 120 firefighters were called to the scene of the blaze. There is concern about the fire spreading to a building belonging to the electric company and other public buildings.
Electric company workers have been evacuated.
Both the Jerusalem fire department and Hatzalah are calling upon residents of Givat Shaul and Har Nof to remain indoors with the window closed.
Fire fighters succeeded in gaining control of the fire at about 2:00 p.m. and are currently working to completely extinguish the fire.
Highway number one was closed to traffic but has now reopened.
