Thousands Expected to Protest in Rishon Lezion this Shabbos
Many are expected to participate in the protest against the baptism of Jews by missionaries of J's Witnesses this Shabbos in Rishon Lezion.

Many of the city's residents are expected to come Shabbos morning. According to estimates over 1,500 people are expected to participate in the communal Shacharis and Musaf tefillos.
In an emergency meeting held Tuesday upon the initiative of Yad L'achim with the participation of the city's rabbis it was decided to protest the event. As the planned baptism threatens the continuity of the Jewish People they hope that 1005 of the city's residents will participate. The gabbaim of the batei knessiyot were told to bring Sifrei Torah to enable many minyanim for kriyas Hatorah according to the varied nuschaos of the community residents.
Yad L'achim has announced that due to the support of the gedolim who have requested that people attend this protest, Jews from outside Rishon that would like to attend are instructed to contact Yad L'achim's emergency hotline at *9234 to arrange Shabbos accommodations in the city.
