A Tragic Day on Israel's Roads
We paid a heavy toll on our roads today- 3 people have been killed in three separate incidents- and a fourth was moderately injured.

We paid a heavy toll on our roads today- 3 people have been killed in three separate incidents- and a fourth was moderately injured.
The first incident occurred this morning when a truck driver was killed when his truck turned over on highway 431. Rescue services were unable to do anything other than recover the body and declare his death.
In another incident a pedestrian was struck and fatally wounded when a truck driven by a Palestinian driver struck her on highway 437 near Kikar Adam. The driver fled the scene and the incident is being investigated by the police.
A 70 year old charedi woman was moderately injured when she was struck by the light rail in Jerusalem near Rechov Shvtei Yisrael. Citypass has called upon the public to be careful when crossing the tracks. They would like to remind the public to cross only at the cross walk.
The women is being treated in Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital for an injury to her leg.
Later this afternoon two vehicles collided on highway 375 at the Beit Shemesh exit on the way to Beitar Illti. A 45 year old male was seriously injured in this incident and died on the way to the hospital. Another driver was lightly injured.
