How will Brexit Affect the Jews
It depends on who you ask. Britain's Jews are divided over the question of whether or not Brexit will be good for the Jews. There is a concern that it will strengthen the far right which may inspire attempts to hamper freedom of religion.

A bitter debate has split Britain's Jews, just as the UK itself has been split. Is the European Union good for the Jews or not?
The Jewish community of Britain is the second largest Jewish community in Europe. Most of the Kingdom's Jews voted against the stream and voted Remain. According the a survey of the Jewish CHRONICLE, 49% were in favor of staying in the EU, and only 34% wanted to leave.
Many outspoken Jewish leaders were worried about leaving- primarily since leaving would bring a period of instability- and instability has traditionally been bad for the Jews.
Harav Pinchas Goldshmidt, Rabbi of Moscow and president of the Union of European Rabbis said," Britain's leaving the EU drastically changes the map in Europe. Brexit has given many extreme right wing parties a push to work towards leaving the EU as well, such as Holland and France.
"The strengthening of the political extreme right wing will bring in its wake an attempt to hamper the freedom of religion- in areas that affect us as well such as bris mila and shchita."
Harav Menachem Margolin, CEO of the Center of European Rabbis said, "The fact that the extreme right wing has blessed Britain's vote to leave the EU – proves that we are talking about a very bad decision for European Jewry."
Stephen Polard, Editor of the Jewish Chronicle wrote an editorial entitled, " Brexit: It's a wonderful day for Britain - and its Jews" . In his editorial he recounts the benefits for the Jewish community that Brexit brings. In reference to the fear of religious persecution he wrote," I have never read anything more ridiculous than the assumption that we as Jews will suffer in the wake of Brexit."
