Five Days off for New Fathers
The Knesset passed a law granting fathers five days off of work after his wife has a baby.

The reason behind the new law:
"Studies have shown that a direct connection of a father's involvement in his childcare and is taking paternity leave..."
MK Tamar Zendberg, one of the bills' proponents said, "This bill brings a historic concept to the law books- paternity leave. Paid leave after the birth of a baby and parenting have long been considered the exclusive domain of the mother. Both as a state and as a society we have an interest to encourage the father to become an integral part of his family's day to day life."
