Hallel Ariel's Defender Loses his Eye
Shuki Gilboa was one of the first responders who rushed to defend the Ariel home from the Arab who infiltrated Kiryat Araba. He was wounded in action and doctors fought to save his eye- unsuccessfully. His response;" It's all from Hashem".

Last Thursday, just hours after 13 year old Hallel Yaffa Ariel was killed in her bed, Shuki Gilboa, who was wounded in the Ariel home was brought into surgery in order to try and save his right eye.
With great pain the doctors were forced to tell the Gilboa family that they were not successful. Shuki's immediate response was, "It's all for the best."
Shulamis Gilboa reported to the media that her husband is strong, and that he will emerge both physically and mentally healthy from this story. "Our children are also strong," she said as she thanked everyone for their support.
She said, "It's important to mention that unity isn't important only in times of challenge. Also in times of happiness it's very important that am Yisrael unites."
