Lapid Officially Takes the Draft Law off the Table
Yair Lapid has said that the he would no longer bring up the topic of drafting Bnei Yeshiva. He also said that he is not opposed to sitting with the charedim in the government. Ha also said that Gemarah learning is a form of higher education.

Yair Lapid has said that the he would no longer bring up the topic of drafting Bnei Yeshiva. He also said that he is not opposed to sitting with the charedim in the government. Ha also said that Gemarah learning is a form of higher education.
Yeish Atid Chairman Yair Lapid made a number of dramatic statements today that seek to redefine his troubled relationship with charedim.
Lapid was asked why shouldn't we stop persecuting the charedim? He answered," We never persecuted the charedim…our education laws are not against the caredim- rather they are in favor of the Israelis…I don't hate anyone. I think that we have to live here together.
He was then asked if he would consider sitting in the government with the charedi parties .
He answered," I have no problem sitting with anyone."
Regarding the draft law he said," This topic is longer on the table, the supreme court will decide and I will accept their verdict."
