Andrea Leadsom pulled out of the contest to become Conservative Party Leader Monday noon. Without anyone contesting her position as Conservative Party Leader Theresa May will become the next PM.
Theresa May is the member of Parliament for the Maidenhead area id south East England, and she is the Home Secretary.
Mrs. May will become the UK's second female prime minister after Margaret Thatcher.
The quick coronation cut short what was supposed to be a nine week contest. Cameron will end his six year tenure Wednesday when he will offer his resignation to the Queen.
May has two days to prepare for the premiership by choosing her cabinet and figuring out a strategy to unite the party after the tense Brexit battle. As the new leader of the UK she will lead the negotiations to leave the EU.
