Terrorist's Lawyer Regrets Defending him
Corentin Delobel defended the man who drove the 20 ton truck along the Nice Promenade Thursday night killing 84 people and wounding hundreds more, when he was charged with assault earlier this year.

According to his lawyer Mohamned Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, the man behind the Nice massacre- showed no signs of being radicalized during the time the he served as his defense lawyer. He thinks it's possible that his client who he says, "wasn't very intelligent," could have been influenced by religion.
Delobel regrets that his defense prevented Bouhlel from being jailed.
According to a CNN report Delobel said," I told myself I did my job. But if I had done my job badly, he might be in prison, and he may never have done what he did."
Bouhlel was given a suspended six- month prison sentence for being convicted of violence with a weapon.
Delobel told CNN that his client was, "very much the stereotype of a pretty criminal. There was nothing that would have suggested in reality he was a jihadist."
Bouhel was neither obviously religious or on a watch list. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that ,"It seems he became radicalized very quickly."
